About Me

Cara Martin

My name is Cara and I am a fully qualified adult, child and young person CBT counsellor and psychotherapist.

I can support you with a whole range of presenting issues including stress, depression, anxiety, grief, loss and bereavement, anger management, women’s health, PMDD, low self-esteem/awareness/confidence, previous sexual, emotional or physical abuse. I also specialise in PTSD and complex trauma therapy.

After spending more than 20 years working with young offenders, children in care and some of the nation’s most vulnerable, emotionally damaged, traumatised and challenging children and young people, I now support individuals on a one-to-one basis.

If you feel like I might be able to support you through whatever issues you are currently experiencing, or if you have any questions then please get in touch.

Helpful strategies

Cara listened to me and helped me really make sense of what was going on and why I was feeling how I was. The strategies that I learnt then are still helping me now.
